Documentary filmmaker and youth rights activist, Cevin Soling, announced the release of The Student Resistance Handbook. The book is designed to give public school students information on tools they can use to undermine and cripple the operation of their school. While some might consider this to be dangerous and irresponsible, Soling contends that basic individual liberties, such as the right not to be subjected to forced confinement, are infinitely more important than any lesson students are forced to learn in school. Soling states: "Above all, people should learn to fight for their civil rights. Even if we make a grand assumption that schools teach substantive content and we also absurdly assume that this material is taught effectively, without these basic freedoms this is a trivial exercise. The fact is that schools are abusive institutions and factories of civil rights violations."

The book can be purchased online at and wherever eBooks are sold.
